If an armed conflict were to occur, currently only 300,000 inhabitants can count on places in shelters in Poland. Maybe this will change in the future, but for now these are just declarations. The act is to include provisions on civil protection. A special fund will also be created for the construction of shelters. In May 2024, the media reported violent fires in the hall at the Marywilska street in Warsaw or in the attic of the school in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, during the final exams there. More garbage dumps and dozens of hectares of forests were on fire, with litter moisture dropping below 12-14% in many regions in mid-month.
